Find a Trusted Mentor

It is vital to have an ongoing dialog with somebody who knows the company well. This can be hard, but be on early lookout for a manager who seems to get things done and knows the ins and outs of the company. Figure out how to get in front of that individual, and ask him or her to be your mentor.

Ask this question: Build a relationship with the mentor and share your learnings and observations of the company. Ask for feedback on your plan and priorities.
